RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A Petersburg clergyman is going to great heights for a good cause.

The Progress-Index (https://bit.ly/ZwBDh1 ) reports that pastor Paul T. Christian of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer says he’ll rappel from the top of a downtown Richmond high-rise on Friday to raise money for the Special Olympics.

Christian says a fellow clergyman challenged him to take the plunge, and he agreed. He joined a team called “Fools for Christ” that is raising funds for the Special Olympics.

The public is invited to join Christian’s friends and family members who will witness his high-rise fundraiser.

Christian is scheduled to rappel down the Sun Trust building Friday afternoon.
