PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The FBI says it thinks a man already suspected in two Willamette Valley bank robberies this week is responsible for a third, this one in Cottage Grove, Oregon.

Spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele said a Wells Fargo Bank branch inside a Safeway store was robbed Friday afternoon in Cottage Grove.

Investigators think the same man also robbed two banks on Thursday - a Wells Fargo branch in a Safeway in Salem and an Umpqua Bank branch in Eugene.

In each case, he demanded cash from a teller, got an undisclosed amount of money and left.

Witnesses say the man was in his late 30s to mid-40s, about 6 feet tall and weighed about 200 pounds with brown hair.

While his clothing has varied, he’s worn blue tennis shoes each time.
