BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s Champlain College is inaugurating its new president.

President Donald J. Laackman will be inaugurated Saturday in the school’s Argosy Gymnasium on its Burlington campus.

Laackman will provide his first full public address about his plans for the college.

In preparing the plans that he will discuss, Laackman asked for suggestions from a variety of stakeholders, from faculty and staff to students and alumni.

Laackman took office July 1. He is Champlain’s eighth president.

Champlain College is a small, private college with more than 30 undergraduate degrees and 12 online continuing undergraduate degrees as well as continuing education and graduate programs.
