LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say 2 suspects have been arrested in the killing of a Southern California college student from Saudi Arabia found dead along a desert freeway a month after disappearing.

Los Angeles police on Sunday confirmed the arrests in the death of 23-year-old Abdullah Abdullatif Alkadi.

The LAPD would give no further information, but says Chief Charlie Beck has scheduled a news conference on the case Monday.

Police say Alkadi was found at 11:50 p.m. Thursday alongside Interstate 10 in Palm Desert, nearly 150 miles from California State University, Northridge, where he studies electrical engineering.

His brother has said Alkadi vanished after selling a car through a Craigslist ad on Sept. 17, but police say they contacted the buyer and found no connection to the disappearance.
