NINEVEH, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a 79-year-old man was found dead in a central Indiana lake a short distance from his home.

Indiana Conservation Officers say the search for Leroy Brower began when family members reported Thursday he was missing from his home at Princes Lakes near the Johnson County town of Nineveh.

Searchers found Brower’s body along the shoreline of a lake about 100 yards from his home in the rural area some 25 miles south of Indianapolis.

Authorities say Brower suffered from dementia and several physical ailments. His death was ruled a drowning.
