OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt is scheduled to welcome guests and present the Law Enforcement Officer Award at the seventh annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month ceremony.

Thursday’s event at the state Capitol aims to increase awareness of domestic violence and recognize those who go above and beyond to assist victims of domestic violence.

The event is held in partnership with the District Attorneys Council, Oklahoma Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Native Alliance Against Domestic Violence and the Department of Human Services.
