FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado State University wants more time to study four options for a new football stadium.

The Coloradoan reports (https://noconow.co/1tjD1va ) that CSU President Tony Frank planned to ask the university system governing board to give him two additional months before making a final recommendation on the long-debated on-campus football stadium.

The Board of Governors is meeting Thursday and Friday at the CSU campus in Fort Collins.

Frank planned to update the board on the stadium project, followed by two hours of public comment.

Frank announced Sept. 25 that fundraising for the project fell short of the October goal. CSU is now analyzing four options, some using general fund dollars to complete renovations at existing Hughes Stadium or modernizing Hughes so the Rams can play there for the next 40 years.
