AZTEC, N.M. (AP) - Authorities say two suspected burglars in New Mexico apparently thought a third time was a charm.

The Daily Times reports (https://goo.gl/7A3Cjn) two men are facing felony charges after being accused of breaking into a Farmington residence twice in a single day. And deputies say they were arrested outside the home after attempting a third.

According to the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call about a suspected burglary at a Farmington home Sept. 20. Several hours later, authorities say homeowners called again to report another burglary.

Later that night, homeowners called to report they had two suspects cornered.

Twenty-eight-year-old Aztec resident Alex Jones and 25-year-old Farmington resident Andrew Whittenberg face a number of charges, including aggravated burglary.

It was not known if they had attorneys.
