RIDGELAND, S.C. (AP) - State agents say a 30-year-old Ridgeland man killed his brother after an argument this week at a Jasper County home.

The State Law Enforcement Division said in a news release that Nathaniel Wright was charged Thursday with murder.

Authorities say Wright shot his brother, Maurice, after their argument Wednesday, then threw the gun out along U.S. Highway 17 south of Ridgeland. The gun has not been recovered.

SLED didn’t say what the brothers were arguing about.

It wasn’t known if Nathaniel Wright had an attorney.
