HOCKESSIN, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police have arrested a man after drugs were found in a car in Hockessin.

Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle about 12:20 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses told officers that a man had parked the car and jumped over a fence into a backyard.

Authorities say drug paraphernalia was in plain sight in the car and searched the vehicle.

Police say the search turned up eight prescription painkiller pills and marijuana. Authorities say the pills had been stolen from a 94-year-old victim.

Police found the driver. Twenty-three-year-old Patrick Ramone of Hockessin was charged with drug possession and theft.
