BELVIDERE CENTER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife says a man has been located hours after he didn’t return from the woods during a moose hunt.

They say 67-year-old David Mann of Waterville went into the woods north of Belvidere Center in northwest Vermont to assist a family with a moose they killed.

Mann left the group Wednesday night, intending to make his way back to his ATV and travel back home. But when the group came out of the woods, they discovered Mann’s ATV was still where he had left it.

The department, state police, customers and border patrol, police dogs and the local fire department searched for Mann. They said he was located and making his way out Thursday morning.
