INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Gov. Mike Pence will travel to southwestern Indiana to greet President Barack Obama on his upcoming trip to the state.

The governor’s office says Pence will meet Obama when he lands Friday at Evansville Regional Airport. Obama is scheduled to speak at Millennium Steel Service in nearby Gibson County to mark Manufacturing Day. The minority-owned business has grown significantly in the past decade.

Obama made five trips to Indiana during his first term as president, but hasn’t been back to the state since a May 2011 visit to an Allison Transmission factory in Indianapolis.
