PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - A Prescott Valley man is in custody for allegedly assaulting police officers who were trying to arrest him.

Prescott Valley police say 21-year-old Michael Lopez is being held at the Yavapai County Jail on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, one count of resisting arrest and multiple domestic violence misdemeanor charges.

Officers responded to a domestic violence call Saturday morning. They say Lopez was being disorderly toward his family, exhibiting severe mood swings and refusing to leave after numerous requests to do so by family members.

Police tried to talk Lopez into leaving the family home and then used a stun gun on him when he resisted arrest.

Two officers sustained minor injuries.

Police say Lopez allegedly was having delusions after smoking methamphetamine all night.
