HILO, Hawaii (AP) - Federal and county emergency officials are searching for a man reported overboard in Hawaii Island’s Pohoiki Bay.

The Coast Guard says 65-year-old Charles Rosecranes was last seen at 1 a.m. Wednesday.

He was on a 15-foot skiff operated by a friend when he fell overboard.

The Hawaii Fire Department took a call on the man and sent out search crews.

The Coast Guard launched an HC-130 Hercules an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and searched with the 110-foot cutter Kiska.

Rosecranes is 5-feet-10-inches tall and 160 lbs.

He was wearing a blue and white pin-striped shirt, rain coat, pants and rubber boots.
