OCEAN VIEW, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have arrested a man they say robbed a deli in Ocean View.

It happened about 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hocker’s Deli on East Atlantic Avenue. Troopers say a man pretended to pay for an item and when the employee opened the cash drawer, the man grabbed the money and ran away.

Police received a call that suspicious person had run through their yard and officers found an abandoned car nearby. After determining to whom the car was registered, troopers began searching for him.

Officers say they found the man hiding in a closet in his mother’s bathroom.

Twenty-four-year-old Benjamin Marx of Bethany Beach was arrested and charged with robbery.
