DECATUR, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say a 3-year-old boy was killed in Decatur when a pickup truck struck a group of pedestrians.

Dallas Niles died in the Tuesday accident. Police say two women were walking along a roadway and one of them was pulling two small boys in a wagon. Authorities say the three survivors were taken to an Urbana hospital with critical injuries.

Decatur patrol Lt. Shannon Seal says the driver hasn’t been issued any citations. The driver’s name hasn’t been released.

The Herald and Review reports (https://bit.ly/1yAyzR4 ) the boy’s cause of death was determined to be massive head injury.

The Decatur Police Fatal Accident Investigation Team is investigating and a coroner’s inquest is pending.
