WASHINGTON, Iowa (AP) - An Iowa woman charged with restraining children in car seats at her in-home day care has been sentenced to four days in jail.

A Washington County judge sentenced 48-year-old Debra Crawford to the jail time and two years of supervised probation. She was also fined $2,500. Crawford pleaded guilty to four counts of child endangerment in September.

Crawford ran an in-home day care until May and turned herself in to authorities in June after parents confronted her. She says she has no plans to open a day care again.
