ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - The husband of a senior care facility employee arrested earlier for allegedly trafficking items stolen from the Tucson-area facility is in custody.

Oro Valley police say 27-year-old Adolfo Garibay is facing three counts of selling property stolen from seniors at Brookdale Senior Care Living Facility.

They say his wife, 25-year-old Monica Garibay, was a new employee but Adolfo Garibay didn’t work at the facility.

Police responded to the Brookdale facility after several reports of thefts from residents who police say are vulnerable adults due to diminished memory capacity.

With the facility management’s cooperation, investigators identified Monica Garibay as a possible subject and police say they traced a stolen item at a pawn shop back to her.

She was arrested Oct. 12 and charged with theft and trafficking in stolen property.
