BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A man suspected of robbing four University of Alabama at Birmingham students in a parking deck has surrendered to authorities.

Local media outlets reported that 27-year-old Roderick Bernard Gaston surrendered Monday morning at the Jefferson County jail.

UAB officials have said Gaston was sought on charges of robbery, kidnapping and sodomy, and his bond has been set at $3 million.

A judge already has revoked Gaston’s probation in in previous case in which he pleaded guilty to kidnapping and robbery.

Police say an armed man held up four people in a UAB parking deck near a residence hall on Oct. 13. Authorities say two women were forced to perform oral sex on the two men they were with. Wallets, purses and a cellphone were stolen.
