PARADISE, Pa. (AP) - A school bus accident in central Pennsylvania has injured at least six people, four of them children, but there is no word on the extent of injuries.

Authorities in Lancaster County said the crash of a bus carrying special needs students just before 8:30 a.m. in Paradise Township also involved a dump truck.

Lancaster General Hospital spokeswoman Frieda Schmidt said four students and two adults were being treated in the emergency room, but their injuries weren’t life-threatening.

Paradise Fire Company Chief Pat Cosgrove told LNP newspapers (https://bit.ly/1ptD86y ) that seven children and the bus driver were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

LNP said a medical helicopter was initially put on standby but it was cancelled minutes later.
