LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a 75-year-old North Little Rock man was killed when the plane he was piloting crashed in a wooded area in Lonoke County late Monday.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.

The pilot - who was still conscious when emergency crews arrived at the wooded accident site - told authorities that his single-engine plane lost power and crashed into a tree, where the craft became lodged.

The man was flown to a nearby hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
