THETFORD, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say the fire that destroyed three police cruisers last week in the town of Thetford was arson.

Police say the local fire department was called to the Thetford town offices at 2:25 a.m. Friday where the three vehicles were found fully engulfed in flames.

State police said Tuesday that the fire was “incendiary/arson.”

The damage to the three vehicles was estimated at $100,000.

A reward of up to $7,000 is being offered.
