AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Grief counselors are expected to visit an Augusta high school after the body of a missing student was recovered in a wooded area.

Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen says the body of 18-year-old Nicholas Charles Dunn was found in the woods on Tuesday. The teen had been missing since a football game over the weekend.

Richmond County sheriff’s officials are awaiting autopsy results on the teen and Sgt. Monica Belser tells the Augusta Chronicle Dunn’s death isn’t being investigated as a homicide.

Belser says the teen’s body was found in an area that could only be reached by an all-terrain vehicle.

Dunn attended Cross Creek High School in Augusta. Principal Jason Moore says Dunn was a junior and counselors are expected on campus Wednesday.
