HUTCHINSON, Minn. (AP) - Authorities say the disappearance of a 25-year-old Annandale man is now being treated as a death investigation.

Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty said Tuesday that human remains, including bone fragments and teeth, were recovered from a fire pit in Hutchinson last week.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1ygwnKI ) reports investigators searched the Hutchinson home of Robert Nuttall and Gwen Butcher. The two have been charged in the disappearance of Christopher Rossing.

The sheriff says evidence of human remains were found at the residence and also recovered from a cornfield across the street.

Investigators have determined that Rossing was involved in a fight with Nuttall early on Aug. 23 along Highway 12 in Howard Lake after the two had been drinking.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Wright County sheriff’s office.
