COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a jogger who was struck and killed by an SUV in Falcon.

The Colorado State Patrol says 38-year-old Michael Copote was jogging with his back to traffic at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday when he abruptly turned and ran into the path of the vehicle. He died at the scene.

The Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1pyD6KJ ) investigators do not believe alcohol or speed played a role in the crash, and no charges are expected against the 18-year-old driver.

Falcon is just northeast of Colorado Springs.
