MONROE, La. (AP) - A basketball player for the University of Louisiana at Monroe has been arrested on a charge of forcible rape.

The News-Star reports ( ) 18-year-old Roderick Charles Taylor Jr., of Harker Heights, Texas, was arrested late Monday by campus police.

Authorities say Taylor, a freshman forward, met the complainant through social media and arranged to meet on campus. The two then drove to an overflow lot on campus, where the reported incident took place about 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Taylor was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center. Bond was set at $20,000. It was not known if he has an attorney.

Athletic Director Brian Wickstrom says Taylor has been suspended indefinitely.
