SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - A 57-year-old man arrested in June for a murder in Sheridan County has been deemed unfit to stand trial.

The Sheridan Press reported Tuesday (https://bit.ly/10l4hTq ) the Wyoming State Hospital has determined that Paul Brookhouse is suffering from a mental illness. But the evaluation says if he is treated, he could become competent for trial in “a reasonable amount of time.”

Brookhouse has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 62-year-old James Lee Drake.

Circuit Court Judge Shelley Cundiff ordered Brookhouse to the Wyoming State Hospital for 90 days of treatment.
