WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police say a 65-year-old bus driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into several vehicles in suburban Detroit, injuring two people.

WWJ-AM and the Detroit Free Press report the crash involving a Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation bus happened Monday evening in Oakland County’s West Bloomfield Township.

Police say the driver crossed the center line and hit one vehicle before crashing into several others. Two other motorists were injured. Police say there was one passenger on the bus.

The crash is under investigation, but the driver told investigators he fell asleep.
