WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington Police are urging residents to be vigilant against increasing robberies of cellphones.

Officers say many of the crimes involve distracted people having cellphones snatched from their hands or removed from their pockets.

Police say the crimes have occurred in all areas of the city, and are not limited to any age group or gender.

Officers recommend that residents avoid walking and texting at the same time.
