RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) - A 22-year-old Riverton man is charged with breaking into a residence and attacking a couple as they slept, stabbing the man to death and injuring the woman.

KCWY-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1pwVcgb ) Jeremiah Shull faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of a 27-year-old man early Sunday and an aggravated assault charge for injuries to a 29-year-old woman. He is scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Tuesday afternoon.

Fremont County officials say they have a significant amount of evidence against Shull.

Undersheriff Ryan Lee says the stabbing wasn’t a random act and that Shull knew the victims.

Two other adults and three children were at the residence at the time of the attack. The injured woman is expected to fully recover.
