SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - An Orange County man accused of causing a crash that killed a 10-year-old boy has been charged with gross vehicular manslaughter and a felony count of driving under the influence.

The Orange County Register reports (https://bit.ly/1wtBMPd ) 41-year-old Gary Stephen Hunt appeared in court Tuesday but did not enter a plea. His arraignment was rescheduled for Nov. 14 and he was ordered to remain in custody in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Ten-year-old Rafael Ramirez died at a hospital following the crash Oct. 18 in Anaheim. Four members of his family were hospitalized but are expected to survive.

Police say the family members were in a car stopped for a red light when their Toyota Camry was struck by a pickup truck.

The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to strike a third car.
