NEW YORK (AP) - The attorney for a woman who’s accused a prominent New York City lawyer of rape has delivered a letter to prosecutors demanding his arrest.

Attorney Kenneth Montgomery says in the letter that Sanford Rubenstein should be arrested and charged with third-degree rape.

The letter was hand-delivered Tuesday to District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s office.

It also gives graphic details of the alleged Oct. 1 incident at Rubenstein’s apartment.

According to the letter, the alleged victim said she awoke to find Rubenstein sexually assaulting her. She said she found “bloody condoms lying around her.”

Rubenstein has denied the allegations.

The letter says surveillance video showing them arriving together at Rubenstein’s building was no proof of her consent to what allegedly occurred inside his apartment.

The DA’s office declined to comment on the letter.
