GREENFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A Missouri woman who was shot last week has died and law enforcement officers say her son is a suspect.

Dade County authorities say 59-year-old Sherry Fury died Monday night at a Springfield hospital, where she had been since being shot Oct. 14 at her home near Golden City.

Sheriff Max Huffman says Fury’s son, Jason Fury, was arrested at the home. He currently is charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.

KYTV reports (https://bit.ly/1uEmhiW ) court documents say Steven Fury’s father told authorities that his son and wife argued before Jason retrieved a handgun from his truck, returned to the home. Steven Fury says he heard a gunshot and saw his son with the gun.

Online court documents don’t indicate if Jason Fury has an attorney.
