PRINCETON, W.Va. (AP) - Prosecutors have dropped murder and other charges against a Wyoming County woman in exchange for her testimony against two co-defendants.

Mercer County assistant prosecutor John McGinnis tells media outlets that a circuit judge on Tuesday granted a prosecution motion seeking immunity for 38-year-old Linda Ann Combs.

McGinnis says Combs agreed to testify against 44-year-old Oscar Combs Sr. and his son, 21-year-old Oscar Combs Jr.

Linda Combs is the mother of Oscar Combs Jr. and the ex-wife of Oscar Combs Sr. A Mercer County grand jury indicted all three in June on first-degree murder, conspiracy and robbery charges.

The charges stem from the fatal shooting of James “Bo” Butler. The Summers County man’s body was found in April 2011 in Wyoming County near the Wyoming-Mercer county line.
