ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Officials say a University of Michigan graduate engineering student has died after being struck by a bus while riding a bike on North Campus.

The Ann Arbor News reports (https://bit.ly/10nu2mf ) 24-year-old Derek Tat was taken by ambulance on Friday to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police say he lost control of the bike and went into the path of the bus. No one else was injured.

Division of Public Safety and Security spokeswoman Diane Brown says it was determined that the bus driver wasn’t at fault.

A memorial was held for Tat on Monday.
