LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) - Two University of Wisconsin-La Crosse administrators are recovering from injuries suffered when they were struck by a car.

Chancellor Joe Gow says the university’s vice chancellor of administration and finance, Bob Hetzel, and registrar Christine Bakkum were walking to work Tuesday when they were hit. They were taken to a local hospital. Gow says Bakkum was treated and released, but Hetzel’s injuries are more severe, including broken bones and the possibility of surgery.

The chancellor tells the La Crosse Tribune (https://bit.ly/1yYp8tS ) says witnesses say Hetzel saw the car coming toward them and pushed Bakkum out of the way.
