NEW YORK (AP) - Associate rolled to an easy win against three rivals on Friday in the $80,750 allowance feature at Belmont Park.

The race originally drew 10 runners for seven furlongs on the turf. The field dwindled on the switch to the muddy main track.

Associate, a 6-year-old trained by Michelle Nevin and ridden by Larry Mejias, posted a 5 1/2-length victory over Great Attack as the 4-5 favorite.

Associate paid $3.70 and $2.10 while Great Attack returned $2.50. There was no show wagering. The time was 1:23.17.

Cajun Breeze ran third, followed by Isn’t He Perfect.
