CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A Casper man has been sentenced to 10 to 16 years in prison for a drunken driving crash that killed a 76-year-old man in Casper last fall.

Natrona County District Court Judge Daniel Forgey sentenced Randall George on Thursday for the September 2013 crash that killed Thomas Manning Jr. George pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide in May.

Assistant District Attorney Dan Itzen said a passenger in George’s pickup truck had asked to be let out of the vehicle about two minutes before the fatal crash. Witnesses reported George was driving on the wrong side of the road and an air bag control module indicated he was driving 72 mph just before the crash.

George’s blood-alcohol level was 0.20, more than twice the limit at which a person is considered legally intoxicated.
