FLORISSANT, Mo. (AP) - The son of St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley is jailed on $100,000 bond, suspected of robbing 18 gas stations.

Authorities say 37-year-old Phillip Goodwin of University City was charged Thursday with two counts of second-degree robbery. But police say he is suspected of 16 others, all within the past month.

Goodwin was arrested after a robbery on Oct. 8 in Florissant. Police say the robberies occurred at various locations throughout the St. Louis area.

Goodwin was released from prison in the spring after serving time for a previous robbery.

Dooley declined comment.
