LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles firefighters say air crews used pinpoint water drops to stop a brush fire from spreading beyond two acres in Rustic Canyon above Brentwood.

Fire Department spokeswoman Katherine Main says the fire was officially knocked down early Friday but helicopters were still making water drops and tamping down hot spots.

Main says the cause of the fire is unknown, but it was reported at 10:37 p.m. Thursday. There were no injuries.

She says there are a few structures in the area and a Boy Scout camp is nearby, but there was no damage,

Main says the repetitive and precise water drops were credited for keeping the fire in check.
