JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - State fisheries managers say they are finding strong numbers of good-size cutthroat trout in Jackson Hole’s famous meadow fishery.

A 1-mile stretch of where the deep spring-fed creek meanders through the National Elk Refuge had 135 total cutthroat trout that weighed a combined 195 pounds.

According to the Jackson Hole News & Guide (https://tinyurl.com/q9gqdt3 ), cutthroat numbers fell off compared with 2013.

The three-month 2014 fishing season on Lower Flat Creek ends Oct. 31.
