EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) - A 34-year-old Cottage Hills man is charged with a felony after authorities say he dumped a man’s body in a St. Louis alley.

Madison County authorities said Thursday that Willie Jenkins Jr. is charged with abuse of a corpse. They say he loaded the body of 28-year-old Adam Sneed of Cottage Hills into his van and left Sneed’s body in the alley over the weekend.

Police identified Sneed using his fingerprints. They say there were no signs of trauma or evidence of foul play in his death. Authorities haven’t determined his cause of death.

Authorities say Jenkins was the last person with Sneed. They say Jenkins owns a van similar to one described by a witness.

Jenkins is in the Madison County Jail on $50,000 bond. It wasn’t immediately clear if he has an attorney.
