GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - An investigation is underway after a worker was killed in an accident on a drilling rig in western Colorado.

WPX Energy spokeswoman Susan Alvillar tells the Glenwood Springs Post Independent (https://bit.ly/1DJqh8K ) the man was killed Tuesday night on the rig north of Parachute. The man, whose name has not been released, was employed by Cyclone Drilling, which was drilling for WPX.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was investigating at the site Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but specifics about how the man was killed have not been released.

Calls by the newspaper to Cyclone Drilling were not returned.
