ATLANTA (AP) - More than 335,000 Georgians so far have cast ballots during early voting.

Secretary of State Brian Kemp said Friday the statewide total includes more than 279,000 ballots cast in person and more than 55,000 votes received by mail.

Kemp said the heaviest turnout has been in five metro Atlanta counties - Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett and Henry.

Early voting opened in Georgia on Oct. 13 and continues through Oct. 31. Voters holding out until Election Day to cast ballots for governor, U.S. Senate and other Georgia races will go to the polls on Nov. 4.
