SPARTA, Ky. (AP) - Law enforcement officials in Gallatin County have started an investigation into a deadly crash at the Kentucky Speedway last month at the behest of prosecutors.

While taking part in the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience on Sept. 14 at the track in Sparta, 30-year-old Steve Cox hit a concrete wall and died a week later.

Company President Mark Ebert told WLKY-TV in Louisville (https://bit.ly/1rs4k6g ) that Rusty Wallace Racing Experience employees are cooperating with the investigation.

The attorney for Cox’s family, Gary Leppla, is looking for anyone with video or pictures or who witnessed the crash to step forward with information.

The Rusty Wallace Driving Experience started four years ago and allows people to pay to ride in or drive race cars.
