HONOLULU (AP) - The state Senate has confirmed the appointments of three judges.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (https://bit.ly/1z4wM62) reports the Senate on Thursday unanimously confirmed two circuit judges for Oahu and a district judge for Hawaii Island.

Private attorney Jeffrey Crabtree was confirmed as a Circuit Court judge. He’s a private attorney specializing in consumer protection, personal injury, malpractice and end-of-life medical issues.

Family Court Judge Christine Kuriyama also was confirmed for the Circuit Court. She’s a former private attorney, deputy attorney general and staff attorney for the late U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye.

They were appointed to 10-year terms.

The Senate confirmed Margaret Masunaga for a six-year Hawaii County District Court term despite a “not-qualified” rating by the Hawaii State Bar Association. Masunaga is a former deputy attorney general and private attorney.
