SINGER, La. (AP) - Two people have been arrested in what authorities are calling an abduction hoax involving a 15-year-old Singer girl.

Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Joe Toler tells KPLC-TV (https://bit.ly/1sjmlDb ) that 18-year-old Tyler Campbell of Merryville and the teenager have been arrested in connection with the hoax.

Campbell was arrested Friday morning and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. His bond was set at $10,000.

Toler says the 15-year-old was arrested Thursday night on a charge of criminal mischief for her role in fabricating a false police report. She has processed and released to her parents.

Late Tuesday, authorities issued a missing persons report for the 15-year-old. Toler says Campbell helped the girl pull off the hoax.

The search ended Wednesday morning when the teenager returned home.
