BIRMINGHAH, Ala. (AP) - Police say two men are hospitalized after a shooting in Birmingham.

Birmingham police Sgt. Matthew Self said two men who appeared to be in their 30s were shot in the Green Acres neighborhood shortly before 6 p.m. Friday.

Self said one man was shot in the head and his injuries are considered life-threatening. The other man was shot in the buttocks. Both men were taken to UAB Hospital.

Self tells Al.com (https://bitly.com/1pLcoyq) that it appears the two men were in a group of people playing dominoes at a house when someone began shooting. Names of the wounded men were not available, and few other details were known early Saturday.
