CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) - A Utah man with a long criminal record has been charged with aggravated murder in the fatal shooting in Cedar City earlier this week.

KSL-TV reports (https://tinyurl.com/lyyqpxg) that 34-year-old Angelo Seth Carrasco also was charged Thursday with aggravated burglary and aggravated assault.

Carrasco is accused of killing 45-year-old Shawn Leroy Multine. Police say he shot Multine with a rifle on Tuesday after he shoved a woman out of the way and entered a Cedar City home where he also threatened to kill another man living there and chased him away.

Investigators say Carrasco knew his victims, but their relationship wasn’t immediately clear.

Court records show that since 1998 Carrasco has been convicted of burglary, witness tampering, interfering with arrest, assault by a prisoner and forgery.
