BOSTON (AP) - Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Ralph Gants and Boston Mayor Martin Walsh plan to speak at a ceremony at a new court service center in the Edward W. Brooke Courthouse.

The new center has helped more than 2,200 people since it opened in June. A second service center is located at the Franklin County Justice Center in Greenfield.

The centers offer assistance with court documents, access to public computers and interpreter services. They also provide information about community resources and legal assistance programs.

Gants, Walsh, Trial Court Chief justice Paula Carey and Trial Court Administrator Harry Spence will speak Thursday.

The Trial Court plans to add four more service centers next year and hopes to have one center in each of the state’s 15 largest courthouses within three years.
